Laura joined BLS Holdings Group after 24 years as Controller for Bert Storey Associates. With extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, management, and administration, Laura manages income and expenses for investments while overseeing the day to day operations of several properties. Laura is known for her attention to detail and provides the highest level of service to both the owners and tenants. In addition to the management of partnerships and entities, she is also responsible for the administration and management of the Storey Foundation, a philanthropic foundation that supports more than one hundred nonprofit organizations. Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of South Carolina. She currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee for McCormick First Baptist Church.

Rebecca L. Cockrell
Rebecca joined BLS Holdings Group with more than ten years of experience in office administration, accounting and finance with Hull Storey Gibson Companies. She has proven to be an invaluable asset and handles daily operations, accounting processes for the management company, tenant billing, collections and proper controls over accounting procedures and transactions. Rebecca manages the partnership entities’ capital calls and preparation of financial statements for our diverse portfolio. Rebecca holds an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Aiken Technical College.
Barry L. Storey
Barry L. Storey is the Principal of BLS Holdings Group, LLC, an Augusta, Georgia-based company with the primary focus of managing its own portfolio consisting primarily of retail real estate properties and various alternative assets. A native of Augusta, Barry graduated from the University of Georgia in 1982. He began his career in real estate as an industrial leasing associate with AFCO Realty Associates in Atlanta. In 1984, he joined NTS Development Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky, and ran the Atlanta office of NTS with leasing, management, and site selection responsibilities until 1986. He then relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee to join CBL and Associates Mall Development Division where he served as a new mall project manager and directed the development and construction of the 600,000 square-foot Lakeshore Mall in Sebring, Florida from 1988-1992. In 1992, he returned to Augusta to pursue retail development for his own account and co-founded Hull/Storey Development LLC in 1993 (later Hull Storey Retail Group, LLC and Hull Storey Gibson Companies, LLC), which grew to own and operate over 13 million square feet of retail strip centers and enclosed mall properties across the Southeast.
Barry has a long-standing track record of philanthropic and community service. In 2010 he received the “Outstanding Philanthropist Award” from the Young Professionals of Augusta, and in 2014 was inducted into the Central Savannah River Area Business Hall of Fame. He has served in various leadership roles, including as Past President of the Exchange Club of Augusta, Past President of the Family Y Board of Directors, Past Chairman of the Episcopal Day School Board of Trustees, Past Chairman of the Community Foundation of the Central Savannah River Area Board of Trustees, and Past Chairman of the Terry College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council at the University of Georgia.
Currently, Barry serves as a Director on the boards of Synovus Financial Corporation, ArunA Biomedical, Georgia Research Alliance and the Wesley Woods Foundation. Barry most recently served as a Trustee and member of the Executive Committee of the University of Georgia Foundation from 2013-2023.
